When we laid the foundations for this centre about thirty-seven years ago, little or no awareness existed regarding learning disabilities or psychiatric and emotional disorders in children. Moreover, there were very few care givers who could deal with such problems in children. Over the years, however, the situation has changed and people have come to acknowledge these very real problems that children everywhere face.
Since then our facilities and projects have helped many children and adolescents with learning disabilities to step out of the vicious cycles of helplessness and move towards a better life. Rather than remaining dependent upon those around them, the center tries to teach these children to become self sufficient and gain some degree of independence.
Today when we see hundreds of children benefiting from the center’s facilities, our hearts are filled with joy and gratitude towards all those individuals and organizations without whose support this journey would have been impossible. We are therefore extremely thankful to all our donors, countless philanthropists and organizations that have provided financial assistance and support to the society at all times of need. Your interest, co-operation and motivation have all provided the impetus for reaching out to those who are struggling under the burden of ill health, poverty and a lack of education.
